The contract was signed for the “Karataş Transport Seaway Tourism Center Investment and Operation Project” prepared with the partnership of Adana Tourism Development and Infrastructure Service Association (ATGAB) and Karataş Municipality, which was entitled to receive support within the scope of Çukurova Development Agency (ÇKA) Feasibility Support Program in 2022.
The project contract was signed between ÇKA Secretary General Ahmet Rıfat Duran and Adana ATGAB President and Karataş Mayor Necip Topuz.
In a statement to the press about the project, President Necip Topuz;
Within the scope of a new sea route tourism center to be opened between Adana Karataş and the target region, ferries of advanced, comfortable and fast passenger/car ships suitable for modern transportation will be put into service, thanks to domestic and international networks. Superstructure facilities will be provided for the arrival of touristic ships in Karataş district.
The 207 kilometers and 2 hours 40 minutes road distance between Karataş Port and Arsuz Madenli Port will be reduced to 34 miles and 30 minutes by mutual sea bus services.
